Tavern „U Tří sedláků“ was founded already at the turn of the 19th and 20th century to be used by raftsmen, brass hats, tradesmen and citizens from České Budějovice. They were welcome to taste tapped beer and far-famed soups.
In 50's of the 20th century was tavern nationalized and connected with world-known restaurant Masné Krámy to be used as a kitchen. After flood in the 2002, restaurant Masné Krámy was closed and these two buildings were again separated. Tavern U Tří sedláků
was opened newly during September 2005.
These days, the tavern U Tří sedláků dominates historical city center. It is situated on the crossing of streets Hroznová and Česká. It is a classical Czech pub, based on tapping hight-quality Czech beer (pilsen type) PILSNER URQUELL
and wide offer of czech specialities replenished with world cuisine.
Tavern U Tří sedláků is in origin beer hall, made for all, who love great tapped aureate (Pilsen lager - known as Pilsner Urquell) and typical nowadays czech cuisine. General attraction of our tavern was already mentioned. Pilsen lager, has got a credit for the highest quality (CERTIFICATE n.782) of tapping pilsen beer - certificate lend Plzeňský Prazdroj, a.s. under permanent control - Certifikate
The other tapped beers are also well known by Czech beer patrons. Gambrinus lager, like „from seventh step“ (rumor from very famous Czech comedy – that means cooled on the right temperature). Jewel from from Velke Popovice „tasting like horseradish“ Velkopopovický Kozel and a king of non alcoholic beer Radegast Birell (bottled).
Further offer varied spectrum of czech and foreign alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, high-quality bottled and tapped wines from czech vineyards, coffee, tea and even mixed drinks. Barman and staff is willingly to satisfy all your wishes. If you get hungry, you can choose from daily offer melas (to sellout) for reasonable prices or permanent offer (menu card) for normal prices. Shortly to the menu. It includes beef, pork, or chicken meals, fish (zander and carp), vegetable ang vegetarian meals, sweets or desserts. And if the staff isn´t sweet enough do not hesitate to complain.
And what about our chefs? They can't relly prepare everything, but they cook with love and joy. Their specialities are venison or lamb meals, rabbit or mutton meals, could be found in daily offer during whole year. Restaurant capacity is 90 seats, which is ideal for arranging various social gatherings, weddings, business parties, dancing and especially for bigger tourist groups, visiting our beutiful city.
We are also considerate to non smoking guest and during lunchtime they appreciate part of tavern without smoke
(at 10:00 to 14:30).
